Introduction to Creative Arts is a large General Education Studies requirement that is team taught, covering an introduction to Visual Art, Theatre Arts, and Music. Candidate will be responsible for teaching the Visual Arts portion of the course content. The format of this course alternates between large group lectures (135 students), off-campus field trips, and smaller discussion groups for hands-on learning (45 students).
This adjunct faculty member will develop lectures, demonstrations and assignments, deliver course content, and assess student work in the area of Visual Arts covering the themes of relationships, religion, death and despair, and humor.
Ability to manage and administrate a large class with diverse learning needs. Ability to teach as a part of a team. Experience using an online learning platform (such as Moodle) preferred.

Candidate must demonstrate the ability to contribute to Bethel's anti-racism efforts and cross-cultural understanding.
Previous teaching experience preferred.
M.A. or equivalent preferred in Art History or Art.
Salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.
