Job Summary

Teach in person 100-level mathematics courses that fulfill a general education requirement and prepare students to take further mathematics, computer science, natural science, and engineering courses. At Bethel, we offer classes that are 1, 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We pay $1,250 per credit hour for in person courses. 

 

Responsibilities

Prepare course materials, coordinate with department faculty as needed, conduct and oversee all class activities, administer assessments, provide feedback to students, and submit final course grades to the University Registrar.

Skills

Clear and well-organized oral and written communication of mathematical concepts. Supportive mentoring of undergraduate students.

 

Experience

Preference given for teaching at the undergraduate level within an institution of higher education.

Education

A Master's degree or Doctorate in a mathematics-related area strongly preferred; a Master's degree in a different field with at least 18 credits of graduate-level work in mathematics will also be considered.

Compensation:         

 

$1,250 per credit hour for in person courses.
