Job Summary

Teach introductory or general chemistry courses appropriate to the candidate’s qualifications. At Bethel, we offer classes that are 1, 2 or 4 credits. Adjunct load will vary based on capabilities of the Adjunct Professor and needs of the department. We pay $1,250 per credit hour for in person courses. 

Responsibilities

● Prepare syllabi, deliver lectures (in person), grade assignments, and provide assistance to students as necessary
● Demonstrate commitment to the liberal arts educational mission and evangelical Christian orientation of the University
● Contribute to an academic environment that seeks to advance inclusive excellence in the department and the discipline

Skills

● Ability to teach undergraduate students
● Reliability and dependability
● Ability to actively assess student comprehension
● Ability to cooperate constructively with other instructors teaching the same or similar courses

Experience

Record of successful college teaching preferred.

Education

Minimum of master’s degree in Chemistry or a related field required.

Additional Information

Compensation:    

 

$1,250 per credit hour for face-to-face instruction.
